Toyota‘s sub-brand is bringing two new models to this year’s New York Auto Show.
The iA will be Scion‘s first sedan. According to AutoGuide, it will be based on the same platform as the latest Mazda2 and will be powered by Mazda’s 1.5-litre SkyActiv four-cylinder engine. Although we do get the Scion brand, the iA will be known as the Toyota Yaris sedan here in Canada.

Along with the iA, Scion will debut the production-ready iM hatchback
Handout, Scion
Along with the iA sedan, Scion will unveil the production-ready version of the iM hatchback in New York. As promised, the iM will be a Scion-badged and slightly restyled variant of the European-spec Toyota Auris, which is essentially a Corolla hatchback. Hence, we can expect Toyota’s 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine under the hood.
Both the Scion iA and iM will debut on March 31, a day ahead of the April 1 kickoff of the New York Auto Show.
