“Affordable” is a highly relative term when you’re dealing with high-end sports cars, but the McLaren 570S promises to be exactly that.
Speaking to Car and Driver at this year’s New York International Auto Show, McLaren Sports Series product manager Donna Falconer says the 570S “is going to be the most attainable and usable McLaren to date.”

Canadian pricing hasn’t been announced just yet, but the 570S will carry a price tag of $184,900 in the U.S. It’s still quite expensive, but consider this – the 570S is priced directly in line with its chief competitor, the Porsche 911 Turbo, and costs some $90,000 less than the 650S.Does that mean value is one of the 570S’ strongest suits? We’ll leave that one up to you, but don’t forget the 570S shares many of its key components with its bigger brother, including the carbon fibre monocoque tub and the twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 engine.
