Living up to the hype of being the most track-focused Camaro ever, Chevrolet will debut the Camaro Z/28.R at this weekend’s Rolex 24 endurance race.
It shares almost everything with the street-legal Camaro Z/28, including its 7.8-litre V8 rated at 505 horsepower and 481 lb.-ft. of torque and its limited-slip differential. Not only that, the Z/28.R shares its front and rear splitters with the production-spec Z/28, in addition to many of its other aerodynamic bits and pieces.
In fact, the only changes the Z/28.R sees over the production-spec model is special suspension components beefed up for endurance racing. The Rolex 24 takes place this Saturday in Daytona.
