Have you ever wondered if flying in a fighter jet is more stimulating than riding shotgun in a Porsche? Wonder no more, because science has an answer.
Porsche set out to find out in a new video by doing exactly that – asking their test subject to ride along in a fighter jet doing high lateral G turns, then pitting the experience against a 911 GT3 on a racetrack in the Netherlands.
The joyride in the jet starts out with 2 G turns, but the pilot cranks up the heat, eventually exceeding 6 lateral Gs with many impressive flying maneuvers, including a mid-air corkscrew turn that would probably make me throw up.
Next came the on-track portion, riding along Circuit Park Zandvoort in the GT3. The experience? Remarkably close, but can anything really compare to corkscrew turns in a jet?
