Infiniti is giving us our first look at the production-ready Q30 hatch ahead of its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Though it’s camouflaged, the Q30 remains fairly close to the concept despite some design cues seem to have been toned down. The overall side profile reminds us of compact crossovers like the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, though Infiniti has already thought about a Q30 crossover.
Under the skin, the Q30 will share Mercedes’ front-drive platform – the same one underpinning models such as the CLA sedan and GLA – through a partnership between Renault-Nissan and Daimler. This means we could see front- and all-wheel-drive variants, as well as a 2.0-litre turbo-four under the hood.
The Q30 will be going on sale in Europe shortly after its Frankfurt Motor Show reveal this September, with North America following in 2016.
