According to Automobile, Toyota’s entry into the burgeoning and questionably functional subcompact crossover segment will soon be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
The model would compete against the Fiat 500X, Mazda CX-3, Jeep Renegade and Honda HR-V. The upcoming car will take inspiration from the chunky C-HR concept revealed at the Paris Motor Show in 2014, but luckily for those who like to see out of the rear of their vehicles, the styling will likely be toned down for production.
It’s unconfirmed whether the upcoming CUV will come to North America, but it would seem likely given the popularity of the segment. The crossover will share a platform with the new Prius and could be called the Auris Cross in Europe.
