Nissan has revealed a sportier-looking Versa Note SR hatchback at this year’s Chicago Auto Show.
The changes are mostly cosmetic, including a new front grille, darkened headlights and standard fog lights with black chrome accents. The Versa Note SR also gets a set of side skirts, redesigned mirrors with integrated turn signals and a rear spoiler atop the hatch. Two-tone 16-inch wheels complete the sporty look on the outside.
Inside, the Versa Note SR gains a steering wheel lifted from the 370Z, as well as “suede-like” seats with orange accents and contrast stitching. The cabin also gets unique gauge cluster, piano black trim on the centre stack, as well as various silver and chrome accents throughout.
The Versa Note SR is still powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine, rated at 109 horsepower and 107 lb.-ft. of torque, and mated to Nissan’s ubiquitous continuously variable transmission. Fuel economy is rated at 6.1L/100 km in the city and 4.8 on the highway.
As for the rest of the Versa Note lineup, air conditioning, Bluetooth and steering wheel-mounted audio controls are now standard across the board.
