Following in the footsteps of the 911 and Boxster Black Edition models, Porsche is extending the same treatment to its mid-engine sports car.
Billed as another special edition model to the Cayman family, Black Edition does its best Johnny Cash impression with two exterior colours to choose from – solid black is standard, while Jet Black Metallic is available as an option. Both colours are paired to a black leather interior.
The Black Edition comes standard with bi-xenon headlights, heated seats, park assist, dual-zone climate control, GPS navigation, a beefed-up sound system and 20-inch wheels. Like the standard Cayman on which it’s based, the Black Edition is powered by Porsche’s 275-horsepower flat-six and it can be hooked up to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
In Canada, the 2016 Cayman Black Edition will start at $67,500 once it hits dealers early next year.
