A total of 12 cars from across the globe are vying for this year’s presigious World Car of the Year award.
The finalists vying for the overall award include the Audi A3 sedan, BMW i3 and 4 Series, Cadillac CTS, Ford Fusion (also known as the Mondeo in Europe), Infiniti Q50, Jeep Cherokee, Lexus IS and, of course, the Mazda3. A trio of contenders from Europe — the Citroen C4 Picasso, Peugeot 308 and the Skoda Octavia — are also vying for the title.
In addition, the 69 automotive journalists involved in the award will also vote on the World Car Design, World Green Car, World Luxury Car and World Performance Car of the Year awards. Each winner will be announced at the New York International Auto Show in April.
