Audi crossover concept confirmed for Detroit debut

Audi has teased a new crossover concept, known only as the “show car”, ahead of its debut at next month’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Audi is referring to this two-door concept “a car for all roads and tracks, for everyday driving and sporty recreational use.” Despite the high ground clearance, the concept seems decidedly sleek: With short overhangs, a low roofline and a shooting-brake body, Audi says the concept is an evolution of its design languange and will wear a number of design cues from future sports cars.

The concept will roll on 19-inch wheels and come with an aluminum shield protecting all of the important bits and pieces underneath. Although no details have been released in terms of what will be under the hood, the concept wears a grille styled like the ones found on Audi’s e-tron models. The North American International Auto Show kicks off on Jan. 14.
