Because Jay Leno is Jay Leno, arguably a more important figure in the automotive world than in the entertainment realm, he recently took delivery of the first McLaren P1 ever in North America.
And because Leno has one of the most impressive car collections in the world, of course he’d be one of the first people to get into the very exclusive club of McLaren P1 owners. Only 375 units of the US$1.15-million supercar will be made and every single one of them has already been sold.
Although the McLaren P1 is raising the bar for supercars all over the world because it is an automotive work of art and a feat of engineering, one of the most shocking things in this short video is that Leno isn’t wearing his signature denim on denim look. I guess if I were picking up a bright yellow, 903-horsepower ultra exclusive supercar in Beverly Hills, I’d dress up, too.
It must feel like Christmas morning for Leno right now.
