For some odd reason, Porsche has released a code so you can print your very own Porsche Cayman S. Well, a mini model-sized Cayman at least, unless you have a massive 3D printer.
I’m not sure what’s worse: The fact that I can’t afford a Porsche Cayman or that I can’t afford the 3D printer needed to print one. Oh well, for those lucky people who have access to a 3D printer, this is a cool project nonetheless. 3D printers are slowly becoming more accessible and sophisticated, and as production and demand grows, the price of owning one can be expected to drop.
Porsche invites 3D printer users to get creative and customize the Cayman S to their liking and to share their results with the #3DCayman hashtag. I’m not sure how successful this project will be, seeing as most people don’t have access to 3D printers, but keep an eye on the #3DCayman hashtag in case something cool happens. So far, no dice, but I’m sure there will be at least a few nerds that are also Porsche geeks who can make it happen.

UPDATE: A few people on the Internet have actually done it! But let’s see some creativity, people! No one wants a Cayman that looks like soap.
