Last week, Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne announced plans for the next five years of the automaker’s products. The Dodge Grand Caravan was included in the mix, which we learned would be discontinued in 2016.

But according to Car and Driver, that’s not the case for the nameplate itself. While the minivan will be with us for just two more years, Marchionne suggested last week that the nameplate could return on a different model.

Marchionne didn’t offer any additional details, but the possibilities are almost endless: we could see ‘Caravan’ on a rebadged version of the Fiat Doblo or Fiorino, on the Dodge Journey replacement slated for 2016 or a new three-row Chrysler CUV scheduled for 2017.
