While poorly written Craiglsist ads can be very entertaining (selling Honda Civic with V4 engine and “manuel” transmission), this hilarious ad for a used Volvo 245GL posted by YouTuber, PonyHans, might be the best one we’ve ever seen. Though the hilarious “manly” Pontiac Grand Am ad was brilliant, this new video might top it.
The Volvo in question has 345,000 kilometres on it (this is the break-in period for Volvos of this era) and is available for 7,500 Swedish crowns or “a really long Xbox.” If you’re not sold yet, please consider that this fine automobile is said to come with:
- An inside and an outside
- A curly exhaust
- Two pieces of black roof sticks
- Increased lumbar support
- Four door handles (one of which is bunk)
- Plastic gills with triple backdraft
- Fancy turning crank with a built-in safety bladder
- And a recipe holder
We think that more blue-chip vehicles sold at auctions like Ferrari 250s and Bugattis need to be marketed like this.
